November 2023

Dear Family, Friends and Grateful Donors,

I am writing to you today from a grateful and refreshed heart. Last time I spoke to you I was experiencing a lot of mourning from being hospitalized for Covid and losing heart towards the running of this ministry. However, God has been constantly pursuing me into not giving up!

  • I recently went to Huron, Ohio for a conference called Cause Camp. It was very confirming of what God has been prompting me to do even more since recovering from a nearly deadly Covid medicine reaction. I learned what I need to do next in order to keep going and bringing together a team of people that will also come along to accomplish the ministry goals.

  • I just came back from another conference in California, the ACBC (Association of Christian Biblical Counselors) in order to continue pursuing my certification and to offer low or no cost biblical counseling to women, especially moms. It was amazing and very encouraging!

  • In early September I also participated in a DONA (Doulas of North America) doula training in my town of Littleton, Colorado. I can now offer doula services to moms! Here is a quote from Dona.org: “Countless scientific trials examining doula care demonstrate remarkably improved physical and psychological outcomes for both pregnant, birthing, and postpartum people and their baby. Doulas have a positive impact on the well-being of the entire family.” One way I want to make an impact in families is to be able to serve the moms that would benefit from this service. It made sense to me to pursue this training as one additional way to serve moms. Amazingly enough, I am already working with two local moms in the Denver metro area as their doula!  This is also another way to distribute the Home Care Kits that were started to raise positive awareness of perinatal and postpartum mood disorders to give moms and dads hope in Christ. I am already working with two families for m

  • I have also been managing to work on my bi-monthly social media posts for ministry outreach, but know I can do more, especially if I had more volunteer support. That’s why I am going to more actively pray and recruit for two to three more board members as well as rebuilding my A-Team (Advisory board). If you are interested, please let me know. I did have an A-Team early on in the ministry, but it dissolved right before Covid hit. That was good timing though because we couldn’t do much in person activity. That was probably a mistake on my part because I could definitely have been meeting even virtually for prayer and continuing support. I learned my lesson!

The ministry’s heart is to “Re-create Homes One Family at a Time by Sharing the love of Christ through Teaching, Loving and Connecting”. This vision has been my passion for the last eight years. But, after the last couple of unprecedented years I had lost steam in continuing to pursue it at the same level until recently.

Here are some quick points on what I have been able to do in the past two and a half years because of previous made donations from generous donors like you:

  • Completed Part 1 of Phase 2 of the ACBC Counseling Certification
  • Socorro turned in written theological exam;
  • Offered a limited amount of beginning sewing classes to homeschool students / families to raise minimal funds to support the daily operating costs of running this ministry in 2021;
  • Completed a yearlong campaign on a couple of social media outlets from 2021’s book study (Ministry of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson)
  • Completed a yearlong campaign on “Praying for Your Children” from several resources in 2022
  • Shared the Gospel with our family, friends, and co-workers;
  • Distributed 20+ Home Care Kits to moms;
  • Made a new connection with another local church for distribution of Home Care Kits!
  • Participated in a local DONA Doula Training that counts towards certification

Why give to TLC Squared?

Your financial and prayerful support will enable our family to reach more individuals and families in need of doula services, encouragement, and sound biblical support and counseling. You will be helping us to put hands and feet on the ground, to share the love of Christ in a very tangible way, through a listening ear (online or in-person) and growing God’s kingdom on earth. Would you unite with us and be one of the “heart-to-heart” donors? Give whatever amount God puts on your heart to help us reach the hearts of the hurting souls!
